You are “Fully Known”

This morning, I woke up, got Clay ready for school, took care of the dogs, got Clay in the car and drove him to school, just like every other day. I always turn the radio off, because that is my one on one time with Clay to talk with him and pray on the way to school.

Anyone that knows me knows how much I love music, but on the way back home, after dropping him off, I typically don’t turn the radio back on. I need a bit of peace and quiet before my busy day begins. It’s my prayer time to start my day, just me and God.

This morning, for some reason, I decided to turn my radio on. This song came on. I’m not sure if I’ve heard it before, but I needed to hear it today.

The lyrics to the chorus simply say:

“I’m fully known and loved by You. You won’t let go no matter what I do. It’s not one or the other. It’s hard truth and ridiculous grace to be known, fully known, and loved by You.”

Wow. Sometimes we all need a simple reminder that our God fully knows us, everything about us and still loves us like no other. He will never let us go no matter what we do.

I don’t know about you, but I get chills every time I hear those lyrics.

Even when I feel like no one else around me sees my pain and heartache or loves me or fully knows me and everything I’m dealing with in that moment, God does.

This song came at a perfect time for me. I needed that reminder that God knows it all. He sees my tears. He hurts with me. He loves me. His loving arms are wrapped around me and won’t let me go.

Truth. His promises are full of truth. He’s never let me down. Ridiculous grace. I don’t deserve it, yet it’s there. Wow.

Take a minute to listen to the song via the link below. Truly listen. Take it in. Every word. No matter your struggle today. God fully knows you. Every flaw. Every strength. Every pain. Every hair. He knows you, yet He loves you.

I hope this song blesses you as much as it has me today.
