Have you ever had one of those weeks that you just know you’re only gonna make it by the grace of God?
This has been one of those weeks for me!
Every day I’ve struggled to get up on time, get Clay to school on time, get housework done, love on Heath, get to work on time, get through the day with those crazy kids, get my boys and then home for dinner and baths and bed.
I admit. I don’t have it all together. Some days we miss baths. Some days we have to double up on homework because we missed it the night before. Some days laundry gets folded and sits on the coffee table all day and all night until I have the time or energy the next day to put it away.
Some days I feel discouraged. The children in my class are so done with school. They know summer is almost here. They are hyper and do not listen for anything. We make crafts for Mother’s Day and they decide to paint the bathrooms, we eat snack and they decide to run on the tables. To be honest, I’m just as ready for summer.
Some days I feel like a bad mom. Another night I didn’t cook a full meal. Another night we missed a bath. Another night we got in bed later than I wanted.
I ran across this photo this morning as I was looking at some Mother’s Day ideas. I needed this.
God knew what He was doing.
There’s a verse in the Bible for every situation we face. There’s a verse for happy times and sad times and angry times and exhausted times.
So here’s for you moms. To the one that’s struggling to get through the day. To the one that’s missing their mama on this Mother’s Day weekend. To the one who’s too tired to realize IT’S FRIDAY!!!!
God chose you to be the mama to those precious babies, grown or small. You may not realize it at times but you have the strength to do his thing called motherhood! You are appreciated and whether or not you realize it, you are oh so loved! What a love to cherish between a mother and a child! You’re not alone on your trying moments and you’ll make it through!!
God is always there to pick you up. He planned and prepared you for this day. He’s got you in the palm of His hand. Always.
