RUN

Have you ever been in a situation- maybe a relationship or a career or even a path in life you were taking where you had a sudden impulse to just run?

I have. Many times. Sometimes it seems like the only thing to do. Sometimes it seems like the easiest.

In that moment, you don’t think about what’s right or wrong. You don’t think about the consequences. You just need to get away from it. You need to run.

It’s easy to forget about the people you love the most that would be affected by the decision in that moment. You’re ready to pull the getaway card and disappear from everyone and everything.

Life is tough. Situations are hard. We feel the need to escape our problems.

So here’s my advice…

DO IT.

RUN.

Don’t think about it. Don’t look back. You know it’s what you need. So do it.

Run straight into the arms of Jesus.

You are looking for comfort. You are looking for answers. You are looking for peace. You are looking for hope. For light. For joy.

Where else can you find those things??

You wanna run? Go for it.

RUN TO JESUS.

In Exodus 3, verse 14 God is speaking with Moses and He says to him “ I am who I am. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘ I am has sent me to you.’ ”

This is one of my favorite verses in the Bible. Let me tell you why.

God Says He is the great “I am.”

What that means to me is this-

He is what I need Him to be when I need him to be it.

“I am LOVE. I am TRUTH. I am PEACE. I am COMFORT. I am HOPE. I am HEALING. I am REST. I am STRENGTH. I am THE ANSWER. I am HERE. I am YOURS.”

Wow. I can run. I can run to my HELP. I can run to my ANSWER. I can run to my SAFE HAVEN.

Fill in the blank. What do YOU need tonight? God’s response is simply “I am ________”. “I am what you need when you need it and how you need it”.

So. You wanna run? Just do it. It’s ok.

RUN TO JESUS. His arms are open wide.
